Bali beach photos, as requested

Okay, due to bigfakesmilez’s (my dear cousin Cnythia) request for more beach photos, here they are. I realise that I didn’t quite take enough nice photos of the beach, but here are some of the nicer ones.

Here’s a view from the luxurious Oberoi resort, where it seems that most of the patrons are Westerners, didn’t even see any Asians apart from the staff when we went to have a look around there. The beach is, if I’m not mistaken, Legian Beach. Which supposedly continues all the way to Kuta Beach, making it possible to walk from there to the Kuta town area, which would be a few km away. Not sure how true this is, I for one wouldn’t be as adventurous to try.

Now this is a photo from the Conrad resort at Nusa Dua area. It’s one of the newest resorts in Bali and has really nice pools. Many of the rooms at the ground floor have direct access to the pools, which there are about 3 or 4 I think. Imagine, just waking up, slipping into a swim suit, stepping out of your sliding doors and there is the pool. Nice…

And this photo is taken further along the beach at Nusa Dua area, this is at the Melia Resort I think. The place here is a little more dated and quite crowded with foreigners. But nonetheless, it still has it own sort of charm. The waves here seem gentler, unlike in some areas.

Here’s the view from The Legian resort, which we went to on the last evening at Bali. Waves are quite strong here, they even put up notices warning people not to swim and all that. Nonetheless, this did not deter this surfer from braving the waves. At that time, there were also two dogs who joined in the fun. Sure was funny watching them, jumping as the waves hit them. What pure joy.

Further along the beach, we spotted this canopy where tables were all set up for dinner. How beautiful. And imagine how romantic it would be, dining with your loved one under the canopy, with the sound of lapping waves and the gentle breeze blowing whilst gazing into the eyes of your loved ones illuminated by the soft candlelight, which seems to disguise so many flaws. Haha. Hmm…
